Not being very technical or a big follower of the latest technological news, I was completely unaware until recently that you can use the same ‘VoIP’ technology to make cheap calls to Pakistan from your very own cell phone. VOIP is an advanced technology which has surpassed the telephone companies, and not least the mobile phone networks. Its popularity is on the up with the increasing pervasiveness of broadband connections. It has proved to be an impressive invention which has resulted in a new mode of telecommunication by using the internet. VOIP is an abbreviated form of Voice Over Internet Protocol.

With the introduction of VOIP technology, the making of calls has become easy and cheap. It’s now not hard to make a local, long distance, and overseas calls from your cell phone by tapping into a wi-fi connection or using a VoIP phone with a wired internet connection.

One of the most significant advantages of VoIP technology is the multitude of new and advanced features it allows you to enjoy, such as simple to set up conference calling.
